I made this record to stave off self-harm during a period of dense professional inactivity. Also, I had begun subjecting clients to a kind of sonic terrorism better reserved for my own album, so it was time to start one. Then I got busy again. Then people started getting sick. Then I finally called it done.

Each song started with the germ of a drum kit improvisation. Then I did what I was told.
